The Pietralta farm is located
in the municipality of Gambassi Terme, in the heart of Tuscany, an ideal place
to spend your holiday in complete relaxation, a few km from San Gimignano,
Certaldo and Volterra, Florence, Pisa and Siena.
In a lovingly restored 13th century farmhouse, we have created a paradise. It provides a chance to find one’s own rhythm again, offering a break from the pace imposed by daily life.
The property covers 37 hectares, including 5 hectares of vineyards, 1 hectare of olive groves, 12 hectares of farmed land, and plenty of forest and maquis shrub land.
power is produced locally by a photovoltaic system, which covers about 60% of
annual consumption; hot water is supplied by solar panels. During winter, a
boiler fueled by wood supplements the heating of the structure.
90% of the light bulbs are LEDs.
Finally, the pool is maintained through salt purification without addition of chlorine or any other chemical components.
Pietralta provides a sense of wellbeing through its delicate balance between nature and architecture, by the presence of old trees, and the biodiversity of plants and flowers. Organic farming ensures that the soil is protected from herbicides and insecticides. In this natural oasis you may also get to see many wild animals, including wild boar, deer, porcupines, foxes, eagles, and songbirds.
